Whale watching can be enjoyed from both the kiosk and the deck below.

Most of the residents'' needs can be met at the small mall and adjacent shops and restaurants. Well tended golf courses are close at hand and these offer excellent facilities as well as a good table.

Umdoni Retirement Village adjoins the town and some visiting medical specialists use the clinic facility here to consult with both the residents and others residing in the surrounding towns.

The Aliwal Shoal and all the diving and fishing benefits it offers are close at hand. In addition to the above the commute to Durban for those still employed is a drive of less than hour. One has the opportunity to live in Paradise while still working!!
