2.2 ha Farmland in Tesselaarsdal

This 2.2 Hectare small holding is situated on the hillside overlooking the famous town of Tesselaarsdal. It has a 270-degree view over the village of Tesselaarsdal and the valley, and also faces the surrounding mountains. All alien vegetation has been removed except a couple of pine trees, 20 Acacia karoo thorn trees have been planted on the eastern border, and 25 Ficus Natalensis trees around the stream that feeds the dam. Some English oak trees have been planted in front of the dam to provide their deep shade in the summer and let the sun through in winter. A platform has been created for an intended house foundation ±10x40m. The dam was built in 1953, as far as we could establish. It has been repaired, but would probably need a few bags of bentonite clay to seal. The rich, fertile soil is perfect for cultivating a wide range of agricultural crops, anything from apples to olives.
