Private Property’s stance on offensive property listings pertaining to our website.
We thank everyone for bringing the recent offensive property advert to our attention. Private Property is a property website that is used by the real estate agents across the country, who compile and post their own adverts onto the site.
It’s our official stance that we absolutely do NOT condone any behaviour and usage on our site that discriminates in any form. All listings related to the agent and office in question have been removed from the website, while we investigate this matter further.
Our terms and conditions state the following:
THE CLIENT'S OBLIGATIONS AND WARRANTIES
9.1. The Client must, at its cost:
9.1.1. include the information and details on each Advertisement as reasonably specified by PPSA from time to time;
9.1.2. ensure that none of the information or Advertisements provided by it to PPSA includes any content that:
9.1.2.1. is false, misleading or incorrect;
9.1.2.2. may be considered abusive or offensive;
9.1.2.3. infringes the intellectual property rights of any third person; or
9.1.2.4. infringes the privacy and protection of personal information rights of any third person;
9.1.3. comply with all applicable legislation, laws and regulations in regard to the conduct of its business and the placement of Advertisements on the Website.
9.2. The Client warrants that the content, form and design of the Advertisements and other information provided by the Client to PPSA does not, and will not, infringe any intellectual property rights of any other person. The Client indemnifies PPSA and holds it harmless against any claim made against it as a result of this warranty not being true or any other breach of these STC's or the Contract.
