Privateproperty.co.za launches revised Mobi-site

In an effort to reach more clients who are either on the move or don’t have regular access to the web, Privateproperty.co.za have launched a revised Mobile Portal for their users that is more compatible with a wider range of cellular devices.

Originally launched in 2007, Privateproperty.co.za’s Mobi-site displays every property listed on its main portal, so there is no shortage of information. The Mobi-site displays images, full property features and price details to users with compatible cell phones. In addition, popular searches are now saved as cookies, so users can quickly access their previously searched item.

Another feature of the improved Mobi-site is that clients are able to download seller information from their phone so that they’d able to contact the seller directly without having to contact the Privateproperty.co.za Service Centre.

“We wanted to make richer information available to our registered buyers than we currently include in our SMS alerts, and mobile technology gives us this edge. There are loads of people in SA who have access to the internet via their cell phone, and it makes sense to adapt our web portal to tap in to this wider audience,” says Paul Ten-Bokum, the company’s Chief Technology Officer.

Privateproperty.co.za was the first to provide a facility for buyers to leave the details of the type of property they are looking for, so they can be sent an alert email or SMS the instant that suitable new homes are listed.

Privateproperty.co.za now sends more than 200 000 SMS messages a month to their database of buyers. The Mobi-site can be accessed by typing http://pprop.mobi from your mobile. For more information, contact our service centre on 087 375 1000
