Eco-friendly solutions: How to make your new home green.

Greening up your home is not only good for the planet, it can be great for your bank account too! here are some handy green home solutions to consider.

Renewable energy and sustainable water solutions remain a topical key point, particularly in our country. So it's important that as a homeowner when buying a property you consider some of the green home solutions that are available to you.

Some green tips for the home include:

  • Repairing leaking taps or dripping toilets in your home to conserve water.

  • Consider installing a low-flow shower head in your bathrooms.

  • Only run your dishwasher and/or washing machine when there is a full load.

  • Insulate your ceilings and walls, particularly for those cold winter months.

  • Installing compact fluorescent lights instead of ordinary bulbs.

  • And finally, consider turning off your geyser during the day or when you're not using it.
