Location
Situated at the lower end of the Langkloof Valley near Joubertina which is where the deciduous fruit farming operations occur.
Distance from PE = +- 180km and there is only +- 3 km of fairly good gravel road.
Access is possible in any vehicle with good ground clearance however as with all farms a 4 x 4 is best whenever it rains really hard. The extreme North West corner of the property is accessed via a 4X4 route which is rather exciting with a few steep slopes and then also some dry river bed traversing.

The farm is 27, 67 hectares in size (freehold/full title ownership).
Description
The farm is tucked away in a secluded valley which runs parallel to the R62 but is one valley to the north of the R62. The property encompasses one entire slice/side of the valley and the valley floor itself which contributes towards a good balance between fertile soils covered by palatable grazing and some valley bushveld plus then the shallow/rocky soils supporting the fynbos biome. There is also as discussed the 4X4 trail which scales the mountain range preceding the Kouga River and this trail traverses some neighbouring farms but the owners are open to the use thereof. The property feels much larger than its quoted size based on the elongated shape plus the sloping terrain.
Veld types
Mainly fynbos with lots of proteas, pin cushions, sugerbush, a multitude of flowers, honeybush tea, various succulents, and so on. As discussed there is also good grazing along the valley floor which is able to support the game on the property. There is also very limited valley bushveld along the valley floor as there arent many trees. The chance of there being cycads is also very plausible judging by all the cycads found on the neighbouring farms. The end result is a diverse variety of plant types and land forms.
Rainfall / water
The farm falls in a predominately winter rainfall area, with an annual average of approximately 450mm/annum.
Game species
Lots of indigenous bird life as well as small numbers of free roaming bushbuck, klipspringer, duiker, grysbok, mountain reedbuck, bushpig and baboon.
Improvements
This property is still a blank canvas as far as buildings are concerned and there are several quality building sites for an eco or conventional home and all of which allow one to become absolutely immersed with the nature.
The western and southern most part of the farm is fenced and one could form a small camp in the southern corner to be used for small scale farming whereas the rest of the farm is more of a wilderness habitat best left open for the free roaming game as listed above.

This property is perfect for escaping from the rat race for anybody looking to unwind. It offers an affordable getaway where all the basics have already been done and all that remains is that one lucky owner needs to put their own stamp of approval on this property by placing and erecting some form of accommodation. The neighbouring farm does offer accommodation options which could be useful during the development phase. The farm has just enough arable land and grazing to allow for some subsistence farming should one wish to become totally self sufficient.
