LOCATION:

It is approximately 27km from Dullstroom, with 22 km on the Tonteldoos dirt road, 3 km on the Laersdrift dirt road and 2 km on a servitude road to the entrance of this property. The trip from Dullstroom will take you approximately 50 minutes.

Highrise vehicles are essential but 4 x 4 vehicles are highly recommended.

Accommodation Details

The farmhouse is basic but very sound, with thick walls and a thatch roof.

-The spacious lounge area has a large fireplace, bar with a timber counter on a stone base

-There are double doors out onto the open veranda with beautiful farmland views

-The kitchen is tiled and has a few cupboards, shelving and a coal stove

-Large, covered verandah at the back of the kitchen, tiled, with mesh wire windows and door. There are two outside sinks and the one bathroom leads off this area and has a shower, basin and toilet

-The dining area is tiled

-First bedroom is carpeted and has farmland views. Entrance off the dining area

-Second bedroom is carpeted and can accommodate a king-size bed and a single bed

-The second bathroom is tiled and has a bath, basin on cupboard and toilet

-The third bedroom is carpeted and leads off the covered verandah

MANAGERS HOUSE:

-Bag-washed walls under a corrugated iron roof

-Open plan living area and kitchen with fireplace

OUTBUILDINGS:

-Remains of an old stone kraal

-Old shed with a corrugated iron roof used for tool, implement and wood storage

AGRICULTURE:

-Four hectares of Oak trees, approximately 1680 trees, all inoculated with truffle spore and recently tested to confirm that the spores are healthy. This area is under spray irrigation

-8 x solar panels mounted on a steel structure and power the solar irrigation pump

-Four and a half hectares of cultivated land, planted annually with cannabinoid hemp. There is a standing arrangement for the supply of seedlings, cultivation assistance and product offtake. All permits are in place for the next 7 years

-The cannabis is fed with the necessary fertilisers etc., through drip irrigation infrastructure. 3 x 10 000 litre tanks are used for this purpose

-Further 2 x 5 000 litre tanks for storing nutrient fertilisers

-6 x solar panels on steel structure power the irrigation pumps, with lithium batteries used as a backup.

STAFF:

-The management couple living in the managers house has been running the farm for two years and has extensive experience in the management of both the truffle and cannabinoid hemp cultivation practices

-Sarah and Lucky, who worked there previously, stay on the farm with their family relocation in progress

-There are currently five staff houses and they have Eskom.

WATER:

-Borehole with an electric pump feeds water to a 5000lt storage tank, used to supply both the farmhouse and the managers house

-Five dams, with the largest measuring approximately 1.5 hectares. Some of the dams need to be cleared of reeds

-An additional small dam is used for irrigation

-1 x reservoir.
