Avocado, citrus and macadamia farm. The main features of the farm is the location, stable and ample water of good quality from the Stads River via a pipeline.
The farm is located approximately twenty-four kilometre from Nelspruit in the Crocodile River valley. The area is much sought after and farms in the valley seldom change hands. The northern part of the farm is mountainous while the southern part is undulating, arable and cultivated.
Soils types on the farm are Glenrosa and Hutton form with the effective rooting depth approximately 60 cm to 90 cm. The clay percentage varies between 15% and 25%.
The farm is situated at an altitude that varies between 800 m and 850 with mild winters and warm to hot sub-tropical summers. The occurrence of frost is rare and hail sporadic.
Avocado pear varieties include Pinkerton, Carmen Hass and Hass and the citrus cultivars include Witkrans navels and lemons. Macadamia orchards consist of A4, Beaumont and Nelmac 2. The lemon orchard and some of the avocado orchards are covered with shade net.
