310 ha Farm in Rustenburg Rural

This is the ultimate experience in farming. Only 35km from all amenities but far enough to have peace and quiet.

Water for the residential area is from a borehole using a windmill with a mono-type pump. This is immaculate clean water that is tested on a regular basis and has no heavy metals or toxins and no pathogenic bacteria and is used in the processing plant and was monitored by health and safety audits on yearly basis.

The reservoirs are the holding tanks for the water that is used for the following irrigation.

1.Approximately 10 hectares where the trees are at present,

2.bottom fields approx 4 hectares and

3.the garden with an automated sprinkler system. The water supply to these areas is all supplied by buried mother lines and the 10 hectare area has an additional pump as back up. The 10 and 4-hectare areas, as well as the windmill, are all gravity fed and to date not required any pumping which is a huge saving in electricity costs

Near the top-end of the farm, there is another borehole that has an orbit pump and a diesel engine. Supplying ample water.

The 10-hectare area was used for the indigenous tree nursery.

There is a Garlic, ginger and chilly processing plant on the farm. A large cold room is built into this facility The facility has been audited yearly for conformance to health and safety standards required by the major retail chains.

Also on the farm is Stables for seven horses, a workshop and sheds and a 27 KVA diesel generator which provides power to the entire farm in the event of outages.

The farm has a number of biomes of the Magaliesburg region. These are all taken care of. An Ochna tree that has not yet been named is also on the farm. The tree society is currently dealing with this find.

THE MAIN HOUSE

This comprises of:

One large bedroom with a bathroom on suite and an outside shower

Large living area used as a dining space entrance and lounge with a lovely fireplace. This has stacking doors opening onto a wrap around veranda

Large kitchen and scullery with gas electric stove, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher

An original coal/wood stove

COTTAGE 1

Comprises of two bedrooms and a full bathroom all with under floor heating

COTTAGE 2

-This is a self-contained

-It has a small kitchen with all appliances

-An area for a dining table and a lounge which has a complete wall opening window with a view of the farm and adjacent dam.

-Bathroom with outside shower

-Upstairs is a bedroom which looks down onto the lounge

-The downstairs opens onto a veranda, which has a view of the main Magaliesburg mountains.

OUTBUILDINGS

-Shed 9 X 20 meters completely built up with concrete floors and large windows

-Workshop 6 X 12 meters concrete floor .

-Old sheep housing with 4 separate storage rooms. One of these rooms is for a large 27kw generator, which can run the entire farm.

-Shed 12 X 24 meters for grass storage or equipment storage. Earth floor

-Stables for 7 horses

-Two adjoining closed in sheds interlinked each 9 X 20 meters. These were used for garlic storage on the one side while the other side was for processing and cold storage in a 3 X 12 meter cold room.

-This unit was food and health certified at the time of production.
