The garden route in South Africa is one of the most picturesque regions of the country and the town of Sedgefield is no different. This part of the route is situated in the Western Cape and is convenient for the fact that its near the well-kept N2 road and within close proximity to other slightly more built up towns such as George and Knysna.

A brief history of the area
The history of this rustic, laid-back Garden Route town was said to be named around the year 1894. However, the destination was officially made into a town around 1929 and was established around the farm with the same name.
Since those times the area has grown slightly, however it has still remained the same sleepy farming and the coastal area it was all those years prior.
