Table Mountain, Lions Head and Signal Hill cradle the City Centre, with mountain hikes and forests in easy access and it is within minutes’ drive to some of the world’s best beaches. I love working in the city because I get to interact with all sorts of different people.
Trendy coffee shops, buzzing bars and markets like those held at the Old Biscuit Mill on weekends, ensure that there are always entertainment options.
The Company Gardens provide an inner city greenbelt that is covered in history dating back to the 1652 Dutch Settlers. Today, these gardens are used by office workers escaping for some lunchtime relaxation in nature, or as a wedding venue, or market place.
The Adderley Street Flower Market has been functioning for over 100 years and there is always a large variety of freshly cut flowers at reasonable prices.
You get to experience the comfort of inner city living but will still encounter schools, community initiatives and a sense of home.
The City Bowl is the centre of business in Cape Town but also includes the Long Street area, which is where locals and tourists go to party.
I just love the life in Gardens, with the trendiest clubs and bars on my doorstep.
